Medical Communications Specialist 

Kelly Science and Clinical FSP is currently seeking a Medical Communications Specialist for a long-term engagement with one of our Global Pharmaceutical clients. This person will join our Kelly FSP (Functional Service Provider) division, a managed solution provider and business unit of Kelly Services, Inc. Position Summary

  • The Medical Communications Specialist will be responsible for the creation, review, and maintenance of scientific communication materials consisting of client internal or published data, publications describing competitor data, and congress materials for the educational field needs of the Immunology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) organization.
Functions:
  • Create and maintain scientific communication materials (mainly PowerPoint slide decks) as needed to support the Immunology MSL organization (rheumatology, gastroenterology)
  • Manage medical review of communication materials (fact-check for data accuracy; facilitate review by medical directors and address comments; facilitate approval process).
  • Project management of communication materials (e.g. track prioritization, timelines and progress for communication materials)
  • Support slide creation and formatting of abstracts from medical congresses and other clinical/scientific meetings for development of reactive post-congress decks
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (masters or doctorate preferred) in life sciences, healthcare or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of medical communications, medical writing, or medical review experience is required
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint with outstanding skills in slide design (visual appeal, creativity, and innovative thinking) and medical review of scientific accuracy
  • Must have the ability to translate complex clinical concepts into simple, digestible and appealing visual displays
  • Must be detail-oriented with ability to efficiently fact-check and find errors
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in Word, Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe Professional is required

Experience in a pharmaceutical health care compliance environment for external communication of scientific materials, with knowledge of compliant display of scientific data, is highly preferred
